Chris Geith Releases Timeless World

If you listen to contemporary jazz online, chances are, you've heard keyboardist Chris Geith. His music has been among the most streamed / downloaded in MP3.com history with over 1, 400, 000 downloads, making headlines in the "New York Times". His album Prime Time has been a top selling Jazz CD on MP3.com with CD sales in 23 countries through the Internet. Chris Geith currently attracts over 5, 000 visitors a week on his Myspace sites, creating an extensive network of fans worldwide.

With the new album Timeless World, which has been two years in the making, Geith has created a contemporary jazz album in every sense of the term, varied in its smooth melodies, sophisticated chord progressions and elaborate arrangements. With "Waves Of Life", the first radio single, Geith is delighted to feature also smooth jazz rising star and Nuance Music Group founder Matt Marshak on acoustic guitar.

Chris Geith (pronounced "guy-t") has also written and produced music heard on many TV shows including Behind The Music, Inside Fame (VH1); Hometime (PBS); Berman & Berman For Women Only (Discovery Health); Autoline Detroit, My Classic Car (Speed Channel); That's My Baby (Animal Planet); Famous Homes & Hideaways (Super Station) and many more.

Geith began playing piano at the age of six. Starting with classical, the aspiring musician moved into jazz, later branching out into contemporary jazz. He graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a masters degree and advance standing for his technical and musical skills.

In 1995, Geith was awarded the 20th Anniversary Keyboard Competition prize by Keyboard magazine for his composition "Sunrise Hunter". His first album Forever Again was signed in 1996 by Arta Records in Europe, and his second album Prime Time was signed by Jive Records in Asia in 2001.

The Chris Geith Group has traveled to Europe to perform at international jazz festivals such as Veneto Jazz, and the Euromeet festivals in Italy. Geith has also played keyboards for super star Julie Andrews, and has shared the stage with celebrities such as Paul Anka and Joe Piscopo.

He has also appeared live on C-NBC, the Apollo Theatre, Birdland, the Four Seasons, the Waldorf, the Yale Club in New York City, Fenway Park in Boston, the Shubert Theatre, the Palace Theatre, the Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Mohegan Sun Casino, Toad's Place in Connecticut, and Trumpets in New Jersey.
