Independent animation and TV production company 1st Day (http://www.1st-day.com/) today announced the arrival of their new character series Charly the Vet on iPad and Android tablets with animated interactive storybook Charly the Vet:Toad Rescue. Featuring traditional hand-drawn animation created especially for the app, Charly The Vet:Toad Rescue is an interactive adventure story packed with educational mini games and information about wildlife and nature. Designed for children aged 4-7, the app features a storyline where the reader’s choices determine the outcome of the adventure.

Charly the Vet: Toad Rescue introduces young readers to the world of Charly, a 10 year old aspiring vet whose love of nature and the environment leads her on a series of amazing adventures to help out animals in trouble. In this, her first adventure, Charly needs the players’ help to rescue a knot of toads trying to reach their pond - that happens to be in the middle of a bike race. Faced with a series of choices, readers must decide what to do next - with those decisions affecting how the story unfolds and the success of the rescue.

Charly The Vet: Toad Rescue features four educational, replayable mini games as well as an original soundtrack and original animation sequences that brings the world of Charly, her family, friends and the animals she helps, to life.
