THQ has announced the appointment of two executives to newly created product development positions to help drive new intellectual property creation and product quality initiatives inside the company's studios.

Danny Bilson has been named vice president, creative development, worldwide studios. He brings to this role more than 20 years of writing, directing and creative development for all major entertainment mediums, including video games, film, television and comic books. As vice president of intellectual property development and creative director for Electronic Arts' worldwide studios, he played a key creative role in The Sims, Medal of Honor and Harry Potter franchises, among others.

Roy Tessler has been named vice president, production, worldwide studios. Tessler joined THQ five years ago, first as general manager and co-founder of THQ's Studio Australia, where he oversaw that studio's growth to 70 employees in three years. Most recently, he served as general manager of Rainbow Studios, which recently developed the hit titles MX vs. ATV Untamed and Cars 2: Mater-National.
