THQ Appoints Marko Hein as General Manager of THQ International

THQ has announced the appointment of Marko Hein to the position of General Manager of THQ International GmbH based in Zurich, Switzerland.

In this newly-created strategic role, Hein will be instrumental in evaluating new product and platform opportunities for THQ's territories outside of North America. He will also manage the recently created Zurich-based product evaluation team and will be involved in developing product localization plans and participating in THQ's new product approval process. He will report to Bob Aniello, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing.

Marko Hein joins THQ from Koch Media, where he held the position of Director of Acquisition and Development. During his tenure at Koch, Hein was responsible for the overall company games strategy, its product acquisition and its development of internally-produced games.

Prior to joining Koch Media, Hein spent 12 years at Nintendo of Europe, where he was involved in product analysis, Europe-wide strategic and operational business development, and product acquisition of 2nd party software throughout Europe. Marko was involved in several releases across Europe including Pokemon, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and the Wii home video game system.
