Hudson Entertainment Brings Blitz: The League to Mobile Phones

Hudson Entertainment has obtained a license from Midway to bring the hard-hitting football videogame Blitz:The League to mobile phones. The title is expected to launch on both Brew and Java platforms in the North American market in fall 2007. The original game's success helped to create a whole new subgenre of action sports titles. To date, Midway's Blitz: The League franchise has sold more than 1.4 million units worldwide.

Blitz: The League features a powerful story mode that, for the first time ever in a football video game, explores the lifestyle and drama found in professional football. Players take the helm of a downtrodden football franchise and retool the players and coaching staff in a quest to guide them to the league championship. Blitz: The League also features Hall-of-Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor as Quentin Sands.
