Escape from Paradise City - Fact Sheet

Escape from Paradise City, developed by the Danish studio Sirius Games, is a modern, urban RPG, with gameplay that includes elements of management, real-time strategy and action. Infiltrate underworld gangs for the NSA (National Security Agency), as one of these three criminals:

Nicholas Porteris a former bank robber who, after a few successful hold-ups, has retired to Miami where he hopes to lead a quiet and "straight" life. The people there know nothing of his criminal past and Porter would like it to stay that way. But when the Agency threatens to reveal who he really is unless he does a little job for them, Porter has no choice but to infiltrate Paradise City.

Boris Chekovis a federal agent, a member of the FBI and a specialist in organised crime. However, he is also totally corrupt and appears to have regularly abused his powers and accepted bribes. Up to now, Boris has managed to hide his illegal activities from his superiors. However, Boris really had no choice but to enter Paradise City when the Agency moved in and talked about revealing his "little arrangements" unless he agreed to lead an investigation for them.

Angel Vargasis a lieutenant, the main member of a street gang operating on the outskirts of Paradise City. She has not yet been able to make an impact in the city itself, although the gang has taken over a small territory with its share of judicial intrigues. When the Agency arrived and threatened to imprison the whole gang unless Angel agreed to help them out, she was at their mercy and bought her ticket to Paradise City.

In Paradise City the player's character develops in the same way as in a classic RPG; by gaining experience points in combat or by successfully completing certain missions in the game. By taking control of territories, the character will also increase in power and strength by acquiring trait points. Various skills are associated with certain districts in the city, so the player must carefully consider the most effective way of extending both power and influence over the city, while developing particular skills. Once in control of a district, the player earns a certain number of trait points based on the number of enemies killed and on the removal of the local boss.
