Nexon CEO Joonmo Kwon and Other Game Industry Leaders to Speak at GC Asia Conference in Singapore

The first GC Asia Conference (GCAC) will open its doors September 6-7, 2007, and focus on online games, outsourcing, and networking opportunities for developers and publishers from the Asia-Pacific region, North America, and Europe. The conference organizers have announced additional speakers including Joonmo Kwon, CEO of Nexon. GCAC will be held alongside the GC Asia exhibition, September 6-9, 2007, at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Center.

For two days, the GCAC will host the leading international publishers and game developers from the Asia-Pacific region, North America, and Europe. Attendees will have the opportunity to develop direct contacts within the Asia-Pacific market and discuss business opportunities. Under the motto, "Opportunities to the World", developers from Asia will have the chance to meet international publishers and speak about their business.

Additional speakers include Joonmo Kwon, CEO of Nexon and Nexon Mobile. Mr. Kwon also serves as Chairman of the Korean Game Industry Association. Established in 1994, NEXON developed the world's first graphic MMORPG, The Kingdom of the Winds. Kwon will give a lecture on Mobile Development. Microsoft lead program manager, CLR, James Miller (USA) will give a lecture on third-party publishing. A special panel, consisting of Charles Speyer (COO Glass Egg Media Vietnam), Alexander Fernandez (CEO Streamline Studios Netherlands) and Bob Bates (USA) among others, will debate the current issue of outsourcing and its effects on the game industry. The "Roundtable Finance" will feature Pierre Hennes (Upstream Ventures, Singapore), Douglas Abrahams (Bansea, Singapore), Gilman Louie (Alsop Louie Partners, USA) among others and will take a close look at the subject of game financing.

The conference is supported by the GC Developers Conference (GCDC), Europe's leading conference for game developers, and is organized by Leipziger Messe International (LMI) and Conference and Exhibition Management Services (CEMS).
