| Miniclip Scores a Hatrick at This Year's Webbys Miniclip announces it has won the Peoples Voice Award in the Games category in the 11th Annual Webby Awards for the third consecutive year, the first website to ever achieve this in the games category. Other noteworthy winners this year include: David Bowie, Webby Lifetime Achievement; Steve Chen and Chad Hurley, Webby Person of the Year; and Jessica Lee Rose (Lonelygirl15), Webby Best Actress Award. According to analysis by Hitwise, Miniclip rocked the Webby Awards voting as the #1 referrer of voters to the Webby's website in both the US and the UK last week, accounting for more than 21% of the site's traffic in the US and 43% in the UK. People around the world voted for their favorite sites in more than 70 different categories including: Best Viral, Best Celebrity/Fan, Best Branded Advertising, and Best Game related - to name a few - by visitingthis page. Miniclip has won the best Game site Webby's People's Voice award for the past three consecutive years and this year's win places Miniclip in elite company with others including Google, The Guardian Newspaper, and the BBC, who have also won consecutively in the same category. The awards ceremony will be held in New York City from June 3-5, 2007.
