Vivendi Games Mobile, a division of Vivendi Games, announces that its hit simulation mobile game, Caesar, was awarded Best Mobile Game of the Year in the "Strategic" category by readers of the German mobile game Web site Airgamer. More than 2,600 fans participated in the online survey to select the best mobile game in each category. Caesar features isometric city-building action, and the mobile version manages to stay true to the pedigree of the best-selling Caesar PC franchise (now in its fourth edition). Players take on the role of an aspiring provincial governor within Caesar's empire and build and manage a Roman city, the main goal being to grow the city and eventually become Caesar himself. Players design the layout each city, creating the activities, commerce and services needed to support a growing population and achieve political goals. Challenges include the need to protect the city against disease, natural disasters and invasion attempts.
