EA Brings Furry Friends to Mobiles with The Sims 2 Pets

Electronic Arts says that The Sims 2 Pets is now available for download to compatible handsets across Europe. As the latest release on handhelds, PC and consoles built on the celebrated The Sims 2 experience, The Sims 2 Pets will allow all players to give their Sims a pet to train, play with and love as their own on their mobile phone. The Sims 2 is already a phenomenal success on the mobile platform, having seen 1 million downloads in just 7 months since launch in Europe. The addition of animal friends is guaranteed to enrich the daily lives of the Sims with very unexpected and special moments.

The ultimate goal of The Sims 2 Pets is to attend to the puppy's every need, while teaching it as many tricks and completing as many goals as possible; the better the puppy is taken care of, the happier it is and more prosperous its Sim owner become, allowing them to buy new toys or accessories for their pet. If a pet is neglected however, players will have to deal with a naughty puppy that might soil or destroy the houseplants.

Game play in The Sims 2 Pets is continuous and as it's just impossible to stop loving and caring for the adopted pet, the handy save anywhere feature allows players to resume from where they left off. The game is easy to pick up and play, with simple intuitive controls. Those familiar with the Sims will recognise the navigation, and new players will embrace the ease of play.
