Law & Order: Justice is Served Is Released

Have you got what it takes to track down and apprehend dangerous criminals? Can you get justice for their victims? Well, come and 'ave a go if you think yer 'ard enough. Law & Order: Justice is Served is based on the TV show, aired on Five. Focus Multimedia is releasing this latest game now, licensed from Mindscape.

The game adheres to the format of the show, organised into two segments. The first part concentrates on the crime and its investigation. The second part focuses on the court case and trying to convict the suspect. Law & Order: Justice is Served begins with the suspicious death of tennis star Elena Kusarova. At the top of her game with a modelling career and an endorsement deal to add to her achievements, Elena is found dead the day before the U.S. open begins.

Now over to you. It's your job to investigate. Examine the crime scene, collecting evidence and questioning witnesses. You have a list of pre-set questions to ask, and relevant ones often lead to further questions being available, so you know if you're on the right track. You can also ask characters to tell you about certain items in your inventory. When you have collected all the available evidence, you can take it to the lab to be analysed, and obtain items of use that might already be there, for example blood and DNA samples from the victim or crime scene.

You can also send items to an expert to be researched. Once you've collected enough evidence, you can then apply for a search warrant for the suspect's home. Dependent on what you find, you should now have enough information to obtain an arrest warrant.

Once the criminal has been apprehended, the second section of the game begins. You must compile your evidence and witnesses and prepare to get justice for the victim in a gruelling court case. Plead your case and ensure the murderer gets found guilty of this horrendous crime. The outcome is down to you.

Law & Order: Justice is Served has voiceovers by actors in the show, and music as used in the show. This all contributes to realism and players will feel like a part of the series, where they can interact with characters and use their knowledge to nail criminals.
