Data Design Replaces EA Games in the 2006 Golden Gods

Data Design announce that they will be exhibiting their Earache Extreme Metal Racing title at the fourth annual Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards, taking place on June 12 at London's Koko venue. As part of the deal, Earache Extreme Metal Racing will be played live on stage between Lordi, the Finish Eurovision winner and a member of the audience. This awards will also premiere the PlayStation 2 version of Earache Extreme Metal Racing. Music fans, guest and bands will be able to play the game on 5 pods placed around the venue.

"For the past 2 years EA Games have sponsored this awards show and the big screen competition has been played with one of their titles, we are obviously ecstatic that this year Earache Extreme Metal Racing has been picked to be this years race to the death. It is only appropriate that a game based on the bands and containing the best in real metal music should be played at the years, best of the industry", commented Stewart Green, MD Data Design Interactive

"can you add a quote please thanks, commented Chris Ingham, Publisher of Metal Hammer magazine.

Earache Extreme Metal Racing uniquely was conceived and created by 15 year old Gothic metaller Sky Nash and all started as a possible way to not only keep her amused but potentially to dissuade her from following her overworked father into a gaming career.

Earache Extreme Metal Racing is a joint partnership between Earache Records with Metro 3D, in conjunction with the games developer Data Design Interactive. PC version due for shipping on 7th July 2006, PlayStation 2 28th July 2006 and PSP Q4 2006.

Earache Extreme Metal Racing will feature ten evil Earache racing teams burning a lot more than rubber through hell and other wastelands. Along with themed tracks from the combatants on the starting grid there'll also be a plethora of extreme Earache classics making up the soundtrack of the game from such luminaries as Napalm Death, At The Gates, Cathedral, The Haunted, Hate Eternal, Cult Of Luna, Beecher, Urkraft, Anata, Mistress, Severe Torture and many others.
