The Blackbird remains in the record books to this day. SR-71 Blackbird is heading for FS2004 and there will soon be another chance to approach 3000mph at 85, 000 feet. The accurate flight model reflects the SR-71's ability to fly at nearly three times the speed of sound and peer down on the earth from altitudes that look like a misprint.
