Epic Games Goes On The Hunt For Unreal New Talent

Epic Games, videogame developers and makers of the award-winning Unreal Engine, announce it is looking to bolster its technology team to manage its exponential growth in the engine licensing business.

Epic is creating a new position for Lead Engine Programmer, which will head the Unreal Engine team. This position will work hand in hand with Technical Director, Tim Sweeney, in developing and delivering the next generation of Unreal technology. The success of Unreal Engine 3 in 2005, and the anticipated growth in the coming years, has led to the need for a dedicated person to manage the world-class team behind this next generation technology. Epic Games has seen enormous success and continues to grow. Unreal Engine 3 recently won Game Developer Magazine's Frontline Award for Best Game Engine for 2005 ? the second consecutive year it has held this title. They recently designed and moved into their own 30, 000 square-foot purpose-built office building in Cary, North Carolina, with a massive motion capture facility, gym, arcade, fully-stocked kitchen, and windowed offices for their developers.
