Glu Mobile Releases The Chaos Engine

Glu Mobile, creator and global publisher of mobile entertainment, announced the release of The Chaos Engine, the classic Bitmap Brothers' title from 1993. For those who dedicated hours upon hours trying to defeat The Chaos Engine on the Amiga or MegaDrive over 10 years ago, there is a second chance to conquer this machine of mass destruction with the game's launch on mobile.

Players take charge of a group of highly armed, elite mercenaries for hire. Their job: to destroy The Chaos Engine ? a vicious machine that is transforming the very fabric of space and time.

The mobile version of this Bitmap Brothers' masterpiece lets gamers choose two mighty mercenaries to blast their way through the chaos of levels loaded with warped monsters, fiendish traps and secret passages. To reach the lethal machine, players will need to works as a team, with the computer controlled player covering their back throughout this perilous mission. Gamers will need skill to survive horrific monsters, cunning to avoid the terrifying traps, and brains to discover the secret passages.

Features include:
- Choose from up to six characters, each with their own weapons, strengths and weaknesses
- Up to 12 levels of gameplay set over three environments, loaded with secrets and horrific enemies
- Players can upgrade their mercenary and weapons as they progress through the different missions

Glu has also launched the other Bitmap Brothers classic, Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, a futuristic sports game which puts players in control of Brutal Deluxe, the newest team on the block. The game's objective is to defeat all the other teams and claim the Speedball championship, but nine opponents with the same aim in mind stand in the way. Speedball 2 is a game where kicking and punching your way to victory is not only allowed, it's rewarded.
