Mobile games Qwak up with Telcogames

Mobile games publisher Telcogames exclusively released QWAK, the classic platform game for Symbian smartphones. First released in 1993, QWAK was created by Jamie Woodhouse and published by Team 17, the company responsible for the hugely popular Worms series. QWAK puts players in the role of a Qwak, a brave ? and acrobatic ? duck. The game challenges players to collect fruit, gems and keys from each level, while avoiding an enormous variety of enemies and obstacles. Power ups allow Qwak to jump higher, levitate, gain invulnerability or even throw chocolate eggs at the ghosts and other baddies. To progress to new levels, players must defeat boss levels, which will challenge even the most ninjalike ducks.

Developer Magic Productions has ensured that the Symbian version of QWAK keeps the original title's clear, colourful and fun graphics as well as the game's simple, addictive gameplay.

Telcogames is publishing the game as part of its rapidly growing catalogue of games for Symbian Smartphones. Creating games for Symbian devices allows developers and publishers to access the full power of the Smartphone and create games titles which are much bigger, more detailed and far closer in quality to the type of games which can be
found on dedicated handheld games consoles like the Game Boy Advance, DS, PSP, etc.

The company has already brought a number of classic games titles to a new generation through Symbian handsets. In addition to QWAK, Telcogames has published Another World and will be releasing Cannon Fodder, Sensible Soccer, Psycho Pinball and Mega-Lo-Mania in the near future. Telcogames is also publishing a number of new and original titles for Symbian, delivered both via download and through retail packs, where the games are sold on Multimedia Memory Cards (MMC).

QWAK has been developed by Magic Productions in France, one of the world's leading developers and publishers of games for Symbian smartphones. In addition to QWAK, Magic Productions is also responsible for the incredibly popular Symbian version of Another World, released by Telcogames earlier this year.

QWAK is available now for all carriers, portals and retail channels.
