THQ ships the latest adventure of everyone's favorite canine, Scooby-Doo! Unmasked

THQ Inc. announced the return of everybody's favorite canine crime-solver, Scooby-Doo, in an all-new video game, Scooby-Doo!? Unmasked. Scooby-Doo! Unmasked, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, is now available in retail outlets throughout North America for the PlayStation? 2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox? videogame console from Microsoft, the Nintendo GameCube? and Game Boy? Advance. In addition, Scooby-Doo Unmasked! is expected to arrive on the Nintendo DS? later this fall.

Scooby-Doo! Unmasked takes advantage of the latest in animation technology, employing a cel-shading technique that is reminiscent of the original Scooby-Doo cartoon series. This advanced technique allows Scooby and company to emote and show facial expression just like you remember them. Fans will also be treated to the voice of Adam West from the original Batman television series, along with other cartoon voice-actors from the original Scooby-Doo! TV series.

In this action adventure platform game, players will assume the role of Scooby-Doo as Mystery Inc. visits Fred's cousin Jed, a monster movie set designer. They'll find Jed has disappeared and his animatronics are out of control, sending mechanical monsters haywire and making Jed the prime suspect. Players must stop the creepy, costumed characters, unmask the truth and prove Jed's innocence. The game consists of huge worlds, each of which features multiple levels with numerous cut scenes and climactic boss battles. Scooby- Doo has the ability to put on different costumes throughout the game such as a bat costume, Kung Fu costume and Robin Hood costume. Each costume gives Scooby-Doo unique abilities that enable him to unmask the mystery. Players will recognize the authentic Scooby-Doo! cartoon voice actors, as well as, effects from the original cartoon, such as canned laughter and classic catch phrases.
