London Zoo to endorse new Mindscape Game - Zoo Vet

Mindscape UK announced that the new PC game, Zoo Vet, is recommended by the top attraction London Zoo. The educational sim-style game is coming to PC/CD-ROM in the UK and is due to be released on the 22nd July 2005.

Zoo Vet is developed by Legacy Interactive, a world leader in Real Life Games for CD-ROM and the Internet, and is published by Mindscape. Legacy Interactive are also responsible for the up and coming PC game, ER and previously the Law and Order game series. Zoo Vet, suitable for children aged 8 plus, is a fun and original way of learning about animals and how to care for them.

Mindscape is delighted that London Zoo has agreed to recommend the game. "Publishing quality kids games is a key strategy for Mindscape UK", commented Jean-Pierre Nordman, president of Mindscape International. "We are thrilled that such a prestigious organisation as London Zoo have agreed to endorse Zoo Vet. It's a fun educational game, that has already had great reviews in other territories, such as the US and Europe."

London Zoo is part of the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity devoted to conservation and education. "We are pleased to be associating with Mindscape with the Zoo Vet game. We feel it is original and informative and works in harmony with London Zoo and it's visitors", remarked Caroline George, of London Zoo. "Our team have worked through the game and feel it offers a comprehensive and educational way of teaching youngsters about animals", she added.

Why isn't the lion eating? What do you do with a newborn flamingo? What does the x-ray of the panda's belly show? Players can answer all of these questions and plenty more when they become a vet at their own zoo. Zoo Vet is aimed at simulation game fans and animal lovers, aged 8 and above. The game introduces players to life at the zoo and gives them the ability to care for a diverse group of animals while interacting with entertaining characters. Being a zoo vet is an adventurous and exciting job! Players travel around the zoo performing examinations on cuddly otters and dangerous lions. They gather vital facts about each animal by talking with the zookeepers and team up with vet techs to investigate the animals' ailments.

In an emergency, the players jump in with their treatment tools and rescue the animals from harmful conditions. The players can also take advantage of the features in their office, such as learning about careers with animals and unlocking bonus features as they progress through the game. As the players become more knowledgeable and successful vets, they'll earn awards and praise from their fellow team members, and rise in ranks to become the zoo's most valuable vet!
