FENESTRATION BAU China has answers
For the first time ever, FENESTRATION BAU China will take place at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai from November 7 to 10, 2017. Chinese and international companies such as Hörmann, Hueck, Kin Long and Roto Frank will present high-quality solutions in the following categories in eight halls: Building materials, BAU IT, Facades, Windows, Building automation, Building technology and Doors. BAU Congress China remains an integral part of this event. With main topics such as "Tomorrow's Urban Design, " "Future Building Systems" and "Projects for China, " the congress complements the exhibition portfolio and focuses on practical solutions that have been tailored to the special needs of the Chinese construction industry. Together, FBC with its building-materials and system manufacturers and BCC with expertise from notable speakers create a platform that depicts the most important issues facing the Chinese construction industry such as construction quality, energy efficiency, sustainability, urban renewal and modernization. This unique combination of existing technology and corresponding know-how makes it possible to address customers based on their needs and to deal with the specific requirements of the construction industry in China.
As in the past, the renowned architectural trade journal "Bauwelt" is responsible for organizing BAU Congress China, which is being integrated into FENESTRATION BAU China, in 2017. This guarantees that notable international architects and city planners will also be included. BCC 2017 is a three-day event, and each day's content corresponds to different focal points under the main theme "Future Development in China".
Day 1: Wednesday, November 8 – Tomorrow's Urban Design
On opening day, the congress will deal with future-oriented urban development. Concrete projects that have already been completed such as South Korea's smart city of Songdo, the Jurong Lake District in Singapore and developments related to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Peking will be presented and analyzed. The objective on Day 1 of the congress is to show participants what future urban planning that benefits all residents might look like based on the projects that are presented.
Day 2: Thursday, November 9 – Future Building Technology
The second day of the congress focuses on the latest technological and future-oriented solutions in architecture with regard to both planning and execution. Design and manufacturing technologies such as building automation, building technology, modular construction, prefabricated construction and ultra-lightweight concrete will be presented. Day 2 will also focus on certification systems for "green building" in China as well as efficient energy supply and facade designs and systems. Concrete examples will be presented for all topics.
Day 3: Friday, November 10 – Projects for China
The last day of the conference revolves entirely around sustainable projects that have been implemented in China such as Shanghai Tower. Projects from architects who are based in China but are also familiar with the international market will be introduced.
Important: In addition to theoretical aspects and elements that pertain to planning, concrete examples that have been implemented in actual practice will be presented on all three days of the congress.
Proven partners of BAU in Munich such as Bauverlag, Fraunhofer Allianz Bau, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), Hörmann as an industry partner and ift Rosenheim are still involved in the project in China. FENESTRATION BAU China also has local partners that include Econet China, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the CCSMA (China Construction Steel Metal Association) and World Architects (WA).
