Enforce Tac 2017 in Nuremberg: Watch your six

In 2017, Enforce Tac – International Exhibition & Conference for Law Enforcement, Security and Tactical Solutions, will be making its sixth appearance. Once again, the trade fair will be showcasing state-of-the-art law enforcement equipment for all-round security on 1 and 2 March at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. The range of products exhibited will be complemented by two conferences for police and official security experts.

Current operational scenarios call for the latest equipment and arrest, interception and overpowering techniques for official security forces to allow them to do the job in hand and protect them from fatal injury to the greatest possible extent. So as well as weapons, ballistic accessories, optronics, tactical equipment and vehicles for operational deployment, the exhibitors at Enforce Tac also showcase personal protective equipment like bulletproof vests, body armour, face protection, shields and helmets.

Emerging out of the traditional official agency meeting held at the start of IWA OutdoorClassics, Enforce Tac has meanwhile become a long-standing tradition. The growing interest in having a highly discreet international platform for knowledge-sharing about law enforcement, security and tactical equipment led to the premiere of Enforce Tac in 2012 as a separate, standalone trade fair in the congress centre of NürnbergMesse. In 2016, 152 exhibitors and 2, 759 trade visitors and conference delegates from 65 countries travelled to Nuremberg for the fifth round of the event.

Bavarian Minister of the Interior Herrmann: huge challenges
Following the recent attacks, Joachim Herrmann, Bavarian Minister of the Interior, Building and Transport and member of the Bavarian Parliament sees enormous challenges for security forces in Germany and the rest of Europe. "We aim to meet these constantly growing challenges through strong, well-equipped security forces. To enable them to do a professional job they need modern, technically advanced equipment, " says Herrmann. "The special Enforce Tac trade fair offers an outstanding platform to bring together security experts from official agencies and institutions with specialist manufacturers."

The Bavarian Minister of the Interior was happy to once again be the patron of Enforce Tac in the north of the state in 2017: "As patron of the event I am convinced that this trade fair provides a good platform for knowledge-sharing between exhibitors and visitors and will therefore help us to stay true to our motto. As we say in Bavaria: Let us be resolute in protecting those who ensure the safety of our fellow citizens – in the interest of the security of our country!

Two conferences provide theoretical and practical knowhow
The European Police Trainer Conference (EPTK) has been taking place in the run-up to IWA OutdoorClassics since 2006, and since 2012 has been held concurrently with Enforce Tac in Nuremberg. At the two-day conference, the latest developments, techniques and technologies are explored in a series of presentations, while training units cover their practical use for members of official security agencies and organisations like the police, law enforcement agencies, customs or the armed forces. Simultaneous German/English interpreting will be provided at the conference. PiD – Police Trainers in Germany – hosts the conference in collaboration with NürnbergMesse. Since its establishment in 1996, the association has pursued the goal of reviewing and developing the quality of professional protection and constantly adapting it to the challenges facing the police service.

At the "Weapons and Equipment" conference hosted by the German Police Academy Münster (DHPol), weapons and equipment experts from official agencies can learn about innovations for day-to-day policing and the safe handling of service firearms. The conference takes place in Nuremberg every two years.

Spotlight on security: three trade fairs in one
For trade visitors and conference delegates, it is well worth visiting IWA OutdoorClassics, which is held immediately after Enforce Tac and is the leading international trade fair for hunting, shooting sports, outdoor equipment and security. Many of the around 1, 500 exhibitors at this event serve the law enforcement segment with traditional and innovative products and services relating to security. Access to both trade fairs is reserved for visitors with appropriate credentials.

In 2017, the venue will also welcome another security-related event, to be held at the same time on 2 and 3 March. U.T.SEC – Unmanned Technologies & Security – will be the world's first trade fair and conference focusing on security by and against unmanned technologies to take place at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. The two-day event will explore both technical and legal aspects relating to the use of and protection against drones and other unmanned vehicles in the public arena, industrial sector or by security agencies. Entry to U.T.SEC is free for trade visitors attending Enforce Tac.
