EUBCE 2015 - 23rd European Biomass Conference and Exhibition

The 23rd European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE) is the leading international platform for dialogue between research, industry, policy and biomass businesses.

The EUBCE represents one of the key events on both a European and global scale for companies and professionals operating at the top end of the biomass and bioenergy sector. Held in a different city each year for over 30 years, the EUBCE has successfully combined a highly renowned international scientific conference with an ever-growing industry exhibition, thus rightfully earning its place as one of the world's most influential biomass sector events.

The key focus of the 23rd EUBCE will be the interaction between research, industry and policy. The conference programme will therefore be structured to satisfy the needs of both the wider audience and scientific specialists by involving close interactions between pure science, industrial exploitation of research results and the policy makers who provide the research and industry framework. The programme will offer overviews of the latest scientific findings, industrial progress and the current political landscape. It will also discuss conversion processes for biofuels, bioenergy and biorefineries as well as industrial applications and possible environmental impacts.

The Conference programme includes 960 contributions received from 68 countries, 250 plenary and oral presentations and 450 visual presentations which have been selected by the (140+) Scientific and Industry Committees under the Chair of the European Commission's JRC.

The Monday Opening will be structured with an Applications of Science in Industry session, followed by the Political session with the participation of JRC Director General Vladimir Sucha, representatives of the Austrian Institutions and IEA, and concluded by a moderated Opening Panel Discussion.
