Messe Frankfurt collaborates with Leipziger Messe

Messe Frankfurt and Leipziger Messe, Germany's two most tradition-rich exhibition companies, have decided to collaborate in future in North Rhine-Westphalia. From summer 2015, the two companies will jointly organise the regional consumer goods fair vivanti. "With this decision, we are responding to a frequently expressed industry wish. For us as a trade fair organiser, the needs of our customers have top priority. We have therefore decided to collaborate with Leipziger Messe with the clear aim to establish a strong ordering platform for a strong region, " explains Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt.

The cooperation will produce numerous synergy effects for all stakeholders. With respect to vivanti's future venue, the two exhibition companies are also looking to find a mutually acceptable solution taking the industry's interests into account, as Martin Buhl-Wagner, management spokesman of Leipziger Messe, points out: "We are planning to invite the major exhibitor representatives and opinion leaders to a round table in the near future to discuss these issues". A decision is expected at the end of this year or early in the New Year.

The next vivanti from 10 to 12 January 2015 will take place as planned at the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds. Some 380 companies and brands, including numerous market leaders, are expected to attend the most important event for the lifestyle sector. The trade fair offers an ideal ordering and trend information platform, especially for specialist retailers from North Rhine-Westphalia, neighbouring federal states, as well as from Belgium and The Netherlands. January's event will focus among other things on the floristry, gifts, gourmet, table art and paper art segments.

Messe Frankfurt stages various leading consumer goods fairs around the world, such as Ambiente in Frankfurt, and can also demonstrate proven expertise in organising regional trade fairs for the sector, such as the establishment of Nordstil in Hamburg. Leipziger Messe contributes its know-how and its contacts as organiser of vivanti, as well as of Cadeaux/Midora/Comfortex in Leipzig to the partnership.
