Cleanzone enters the 2014 event year with key changes

On 21 and 22 October 2014, Cleanzone – international trade fair and congress for cleanroom technology – will be taking place for the third time in Frankfurt am Main. Johannes Schmid-Wiedersheim, Director of New Events at Messe Frankfurt: "Cleanzone has established itself in the industry in just a short time. Together with the exhibitors and dedicated partners, we have succeeded in creating a vibrant and efficient platform where the latest cleanroom technology can be experienced and business deals can be made. We attach particular importance to the international make-up and large number of industries represented amongst the trade visitors." Interested exhibitors can now register online and select their preferred stand location in the hall plan.

Cleanzone Plaza promotes interdisciplinary exchange
In 2014 Cleanzone will once again be pursuing an interdisciplinary and international approach with two areas of focus: "Life Sciences" is aimed at the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, biotechnology and pharmacy industries, while "Micro-technology" is aimed at applications in the microelectronics, micro-system technology, semiconductor, plastics and surface technology, aerospace, optics and laser technology, automotive, electronics and precision engineering industries. There are overlaps in the packaging solutions and medical technology areas.

One of the drivers of in-depth interdisciplinary exchange between exhibitors, trade visitors and experts is Cleanzone Plaza, which has been given a new home in the centre of the trade fair and congress. This event stage, which is free of charge, not only hosts numerous events like the presentation of the Cleanroom Awards by ReinraumAkademie, but is also a forum for exhibitors to share experience from actual practice and present innovations from across the cleanroom spectrum as part of their individual presentations. Among the newcomers to this year's Cleanzone Plaza are four panel discussions directly related to specific presentations from the congress taking place at the same time.

New modular structure for the Cleanzone Congress
Another new feature pertains to the Cleanzone Congress taking place alongside the trade fair, as its structure will be much more flexible in 2014: now, participants can compile their own programmes from four modules, each of which covers a separate theme and can be booked separately. This makes it possible for people from various industries to visit the presentations that are most important to them, allowing them to optimise their trade fair and congress visits. ReinraumAkademie (Leipzig) will be continuing its sterling work as content partner to the Cleanzone Congress, and is opening its call for papers in mid-March.

Cleanzone a member of the German Cleanroom Institute (DRRI)
Numerous important institutions have been serving as Cleanzone partners since its début in 2012, including associations such as the VDI Association of German Engineers, ICCCS (International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies), Spectaris (German Industry Association for Optical, Medical and Mechatronical Technologies), IVAM (Professional Association for Microtechnology), SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) and DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH. Since February 2014 Cleanzone itself has been a member of the German Cleanroom Institute (DRRI).

Cleanzone – trade fair and congress
Cleanzone is the new international industry meeting place for cleanroom technology, and is aimed at all sectors where production, assembly, packaging or work is carried out under cleanroom conditions. Exhibitors at the trade fair present the entire range of what is on offer, from the planning, construction and operation of cleanrooms to consumables and training. The congress taking place at the same time tackles current topics in the cleanroom industry, offering opportunities for interdisciplinary and international exchange at a professional level. Cleanzone is intended for international visitors from all areas of application for life sciences and micro-technology. In 2013 more than 800 participants from 44 countries were brought together with 50 exhibitors and a host of prominent international experts at the Cleanzone trade fair and congress.
