Giftrends Madrid presents a programme of activities aimed at professionals

Giftrends Madrid, the grand trade event that provides the framework for the staging of Intergift, the International Gift Fair, Bisutex, the International Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Trade Fair, and Iberjoya, the International Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Auxiliary Industries Exhibition, has prepared an attractive programme of activities and practical workshops this year to coincide with the trade exhibition. The aim is to provide professionals with a series of new added-value aspects that enable them to optimise their business activities.

In this respect, Giftrends Madrid, the event organised by IFEMA whose next edition will take place from 11th to 15th September at Feria de Madrid, has developed an entire programme of activities to complement the latest new ideas under the headings of gift items, decoration, fashion jewellery, fashion accessories and exclusive jewellery creations. It will offer an ideal working and networking environment in which to present practical workshops, talks, demonstrations, exhibitions, etc. All of these activities are designed to offer visitors useful information and facilitate an exchange of experiences and know-how.

At the same time, with a view to facilitating the attendance of professionals and boosting the number of visitors at these trade fairs, GIFTRENDS has established different collaboration agreements with the leading associations, confederations, guilds, etc., representing the retail trade, sales representatives and, in general, the leading retail outlets for the industry, both in Madrid and throughout Spain.

Practical Workshops on Gift Wrapping

Regalo Fama, the Business Association of Manufacturers and Wholesale Retailers of Gift Items, has joined the Activities programme at this edition of INTERGIFT by organising a series of gift wrapping workshops that will enable professionals to discover the latest new techniques in creative wrapping in a highly practical manner. Participants will also discover new materials for personalising gifts, etc., with the focus being based on a Christmas theme.
Furthermore, in order to celebrate its 35th Anniversary, Regalo Fama will offer members of the Association a glass of cava at 7.00 pm. each day in Hall 3 throughout the duration of the trade fair.

MICASA Routes at INTERGIFT

Another of the new activities that will be taking place within the framework of INTERGIFT consists of the MICASA Routes. This initiative has been developed in collaboration with the specialised publication, MICASA, with a view to offering professionals a series of different thematic tours of the latest new trends in decoration presented by different companies at the fair, based on the participation of a number of experts from the world of interior decoration.

Activities at IBERJOYA

IBERJOYA will also provide an ideal setting for the staging of diverse marketing measures, product presentations, conferences, exhibitions, design awards, etc. As part of a joint endeavour by the trade fair organisers, the Jewellers, Silversmiths and Watchmakers' Guild of Madrid, specialised publishing companies and exhibiting companies, this initiative will encompass a series of unique projects designed to boost demand, foster closer links with customers and offer a promotional forum for aspects of interest to the trade. These activities will also include events of a social and/or cultural nature linked to the jewellery industry.

ProDiam 2013

As is now traditional, another edition of the Meeting of Diamond, Gemmology and Jewellery Professionals will take place on the day before IBERJOYA is officially inaugurated, namely Tuesday 10th September. The fifteenth edition of this event, known as ProDiam 2013, will be organised by the NEXO Group and promoted by GOLD&TIME and the GEMACYT Laboratory. This Meeting will once again offer an entirely new programme of contents focusing on the main aspects of concern to the diamond industry, whilst also focusing on the gold market and the latest trends in contemporary jewellery.

On this occasion, the two grand blocks into which the event is split (The 15th Meeting of Diamond and Precious Stone Experts and the 15th Trade Forum for Jewellery, Gemmology and Precious Metals) will be complemented by a special section on Security within the Industry, an issue of ongoing relevance and importance to establishments throughout Spain.
