| The Biggest Food & Hospitality event to take place in September The biggest food and hospitality event in Oman is set to be held from September 2 to 4, 2013 at the Oman International Exhibition Center. The 8th edition, formerly Food & Hotel Oman, is now rebranded Food & Hospitality Oman to replicate the significant growth and development that Oman's food and tourism sectors are experiencing. The rebranding also reflects the expansion of the show's products and service segments and profiles. The last edition in December saw a good number of international exhibitors, representing countries and pavilions, with Italy and Pakistan participating for the first time as country pavilions. In keeping with the company's initiatives of providing an instructive dimension to its trade shows, it featured a learning zone organized by National Hospitality Institute and Oman Tourism College. This year, Food & Hospitality is eyeing increased international participation via country pavilions and diverse country representation. This year will also feature a barista competition, which will showcase the culinary talent and expertise of today's youth as well as to provide fun and entertainment to the show. Apart from this, the show will provide special focus on Omani-made quality products and present local companies in parallel to to the new offerings that international companies are bringing in. UFI-approved Food & Hospitality Oman is recognized as the international flagship event for the food and hospitality sectors in the Sultanate, pioneering, as with Omanexpo's trade shows, all other food and hotel-related events that have sprung up in recent months.
