Paperworld China attracts prominent brands

Paperworld China, the country's most international stationery and office supplies trade show, will be held from 25 – 27 September 2013 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai, China. It is attracting more than 500 exhibitors representing 11 countries and regions including overseas pavilions from Korea and Taiwan, as well as local pavilions.

One of the first time exhibitors is Shanghai M&G Stationery Inc, a prominent Chinese brand, which manufactures a wide range of value-for-money products that include pens, notebooks and rulers. Their products are available in over 40 countries and regions. In addition to its own brand M&G, the company has also established partnerships with Auchan, Disney, Tesco and Walmart.

Mr Johnson Chen, M&G's Chief Executive Officer, said Paperworld China is a leading industry event in Asia. "Through exhibiting at Paperworld China, M&G can strengthen its brand influence in China and internationally, " he commented. "The new items developed by M&G are user-friendly, offer value-for-money and are stylish. We are the trend creator for the stationery industry." M&G's network is covering Asia, Europe and Middle East, and has sole agent in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Mr Chen is expecting to meet new business partners from Indonesia, Russia, South Africa, and South America at Paperworld China.

During Paperworld China, industry experts will share information and their experiences at seminars. The "Retail Forum – Trend of Stationery Retail" will be held on the first day of the show and addresses the challenges faced by Asian stationery retailers. The speaker will be Mr Hashimoto Yoshimi, former General Manager for the Stationery, Toys and Lifestyle goods section at Ito Yokado Co Ltd, a Japanese department chain store which is one of the world's top 500 companies.

Mr Sergey Dolgov is the publisher of a stationery trade magazine in Russia and the Ukraine. He will give the audience an understanding of the stationery and office supplies market in Russia, the sourcing trends in a market seminar.

The product display area, Extraordinary Stationery, will return to this year's show and is dedicated to showcasing arts and crafts, as well as innovative and traditional stationery and office products. Participating brands include Philippi, Pilot and Troika which will conduct on-site product presentations offering visitors an opportunity to know more about their products.

In addition, to enhance sourcing efficiency during the show, one-on­one business matching meetings can be arranged with appropriate suppliers.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, the China Chamber of Commerce for I/E of Light Industrial Products & Arts­crafts and Guangzhou Foreign Trade South China Exhibition Corp Ltd, Paperworld China is in its ninth edition.

It will be held concurrently with Interior Lifestyle China, the trade fair for lifestyle and household products and accessories. Holding the two shows at the same venue offers buyers a larger range of products to choose from.
