Riga Food 2013: Food businesses from the whole world

The 18th international trade fair for food, beverages, food processing technology, packaging, innovation, Horeca and shop equipment and services "Riga Food 2013" will take place at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga, Latvia, from 4 to 7 September. "Riga Food" is the biggest food industry fair aimed to reveal the development trends, novelties and the major and trustable players of the Baltic food industry.

"Riga Food" is the most important industry event in the region, which brings together participants and professional visitors representing almost all businesses, public and non-governmental organizations, as well as experts of connected branches and investors. More than 35 000 visitors from around the world attend the exhibition every year.

'Both well-established Latvian and foreign companies, as well as brand new production enterprises looking for any opportunity to consolidate their position in the market or searching new market niches regard "Riga Food" as a significant support for their business activities and a versatile marketing tool. This year we focus on food and beverage wholesalers and trading networks coming to the fair to meet Baltic food manufacturers and to seek new opportunities for further cooperation, ' the "Riga Food 2013" project manager Rolands Nezborts told.

Participants from more than 30 countries have currently registered for participation in "Riga Food 2013". The food fair will present national collective stands of 10 countries.

The number of foreign businesses and organisations taking interest in "Riga Food" is constantly growing each year. Latvian companies and food professionals take advantage of "Riga Food" to establish new professional contacts and to promote business development.

"Estonian, Danish, Italian, Dutch, UK, Greek, Taiwanese, Hungarian, Polish, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Sri Lankan, South African, Turkish, Indonesian, Spanish, Bulgarian, Pakistani, Cameroonian, Indian, Belgian, Israeli, Croatian, Luxembourgian, Swedish, Czech, Ukrainian and Moldovan companies are going to present their products and services, to find new partners and markets, " the project manager Rolands Nezborts told.

"Riga Food 2012" offers a number of food and professional competitions where the best chefs, pastry cooks and bartenders will demonstrate their proficiency and originality competing for the Riga Food 2013 Awards. Food manufacturers and masters, on turn, will contend Riga Food 2013 medals in food competitions.

"Riga Food 2013" will pay a special attention to food innovations, novelties in food research carried out at universities, research institutes and Latvian innovation support institutions. Newly developed products and solutions will be displayed. Food professionals and entrepreneurs are welcome to join the International Brokerage Event, to attend conferences and seminars.
