| Visiting Vinexpo 2013 as a reward to the best Russian winemakers Russian winemakers Wanda Botnar, Chief Technologist of "Kuban-Vino" and Gulbala Zeidov ‒ chief winemaker of "Wineries Vedernikov" of "Millerovskiy winery" visited the 17th International exhibition of wines and spirits VINEXPO 2013, which took place from 16 to 20 June in Bordeaux (France), and once in two years opens its doors to a wide range of professionals in the wine market, wine production specialists and experts of the international wine community. Their "bonus" trip is a present from the Asti Group Exhibition Company which they received in November 2012 at the International Exhibition Russian Wine Fair, where these famous in Russia winemaking specialists were awarded with the titles "Best Winemaker of the Year" and honorary diplomas. Selection of the awardees is not accidental, because over the last 10 years, the work of Asti Group to promote the new Russian winemaking, the strengthening of international business contacts for development of the wine industry in Russia is one of the strategic priorities of the company, which it carries out in close cooperation with the Union of winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia. To this aim is dedicated the one of the best shows of the company, which is held annually in November. As the current innovations in the program of the last show there was a tasting contest Best of the Best, as the results of which two best still wines of 2012 have been identified. The second tasting competition Best of the Best 2013 dedicated to the selection of the best Russian red and white wines, as well as the best sparkling wine (champagne) will be held in Moscow in November, at a new project of Asti Group. The conditions for the participation are the same as in the first contest, and require that the wines, participating in the contest, already have been awarded with at least one medal of major Russian or international wine and spirits competitions. After earning popularity among Russian and foreign producers of wine, as a basic platform for meeting professionals of wine market, recently the exhibition becomes the center of attraction of gastronomic projects, the place to find the right combination of food and wine.
