Debut of ‘Time Square’ at Tendence

Visitors to this year's Tendence will find trend and design-oriented watches in a special area for the first time. Following its successful première at Ambiente 2013, the 'Time Square' watch area is now set to make its debut at Tendence, prominently positioned the middle of the Carat product section in Hall 9.3. Besides costume and genuine jewellery, trade buyers will find a range of selected designer jewellery and hand-crafted individual pieces. "Watches are more in demand as accessories than ever before – like handbags and shoes, outfits are supplemented by watches that match in terms of style and colour. Our 'Time Square' watch area takes account of this increasing demand", says Yvonne Engelmann, Director Tendence Giving.

The watch area will contribute to the strategic development of the broad spectrum of products at Tendence. The strength of Tendence – and a decisive benefit and added value for trade visitors – is the concept of the fair, which integrates jewellery in the context of other consumer goods. This integrative approach means Carat is of interest not only to jewellers and goldsmiths but also to trade visitors who use Tendence to supplement their core assortments in a modern and trend-conscious way. These visitors include buyers from lifestyle and design shops, interior and furnishing stores, fashion and gift shops and galleries and museum shops. They profit from the product variety to be found at Tendence for the busy winter and Christmas business, which includes not only jewellery but also personal accessories and fashion products, gift ideas, trendy fast-moving items, interior design and home accessories.

Tendence, the international consumer-goods platform
Tendence (24 to 27 August 2013) is the biggest and most important order and trend barometer in the second half of the year. The range of products to be seen covers all levels of quality and is relevant for all channels of distribution. For the retail trade, Tendence is the most important order platform for the Christmas business while bulk buyers can obtain an initial overview of new products for the coming spring and summer season, 2014.
