IPB 2013: The leading powder and bulk event in China

IPB 2013 – to be held in the Shanghai International Exhibition Center, China (INTEX) from 15-17 October, 2013 – will once again offer a comprehensive overview of the latest technologies for processing powder, granules, and bulk solids specifically for development, process, and plant engineers from all sectors of industry. With the upgrade of the show in 2012, IPB officially changed its name from International Powder & Bulk Conference & Exhibition to International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing Conference & Exhibition: The "processing" component was added as one of the show's themes. In its ten years of development, IPB has already become not only China's foremost professional conference platform, it is also the most international "one-stop-shop" annual trade show in the powder and bulk industry in China.

Reasons to attend IPB 2013
IPB is supported by POWTECH, Germany, which is the world's undisputed Number One trade show for powder, granules, and bulk solids technologies. IPB 2012 attracted more than 30 international exhibitors from POWTECH, enhancing its communications and technology exchanges. 162 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions participated in the three-day show. It also attracted 6, 875 trade visitors (2011: 6, 214) from 18 countries and regions from related industries and hit a record high in attendance. Six months before the 2013 event, more than 65 percent of the exhibition space has been sold. Leading international companies like Hosokawa, DMN Westinghouse, Kaeser, and Malvern – and local Chinese brands including the MIYOU Group, Shandong Huate Magnet Technology, Hanrui Puzer Bulk, and Zhejiang Fengli Pulverization – will once again participate in IPB. The process and product range covers basic mechanical processing technologies, plant engineering and processing components, particle analysis and characterization, nano particle technologies, measurement and control, safety and environmental technologies, and service. "It is already apparent that the event will provide an outstanding range of solutions for handling powder and bulk solids. We believe that IPB 2013 will offer an excellent professional networking platform both for exhibitors and visitors, " says Evian Gu, Project Manager at NürnbergMesse China.

New onsite conference
Within the development of the powder and bulk industry's vast potential market, the granular processing field also presents a picture of prosperity thanks to the rapid development of new processed materials. But the quality of the grinding machines, operating procedures, product classification, and surface modification are also key factors affecting product quality. Therefore, a company's competitiveness in the industry is determined by the quality of their powder and bulk equipment. The most important aspects of this equipment are its purity as well as its ultrafine and large handling capabilities. Therefore, this year IPB 2013 will focus on the new theme of "processing."

Several supporting conferences and programs will run in parallel with IPB 2013: For the first time, the U.K.-China International Particle Technology Forum will be held onsite along with the exhibition. This forum is an international event that is held in either the U.K. or China every two years. It provides opportunities for scientists and engineers to discuss recent advances, share knowledge, and identify future research directions in the field of particle science and technology and their roles in environment, energy, healthcare, and other emerging applications. The attendees include engineers and professors, who are also key buyers at IPB.

Global network leads to success
IPB is convened by the Powder & Bulk Network, a worldwide alliance of international trade shows and conferences for mechanical process and bulk solids handling technologies. This special combination of events offers not only a worldwide network that encompasses Europe, India, and China: It also provides marketing opportunities for the industry as well asa perfect platform for stepping into new markets. The network also concentrates on meeting local market demands. The exhibitors can make full use of the network for branding activities and meeting potential clients. Organizers expect that 40 to 50 percent of IPB 2013's visitors will be drawn from overseas. "Whether exhibitors and visitors want to gain insight into market developments, share industrial knowledge and information, or look for potential customers, there is no doubt that their participation will be successful in every respect, " affirms Gu.
