Creative Impulse Award was visitor magnet at Creativeworld 2013

The trend towards creative hobbies and individualisation continues apace – and this was also clearly to be felt at Creativeworld 2013. 241 exhibitors from 25 countries presented the latest innovations and new products from the sector to 7,205 trade visitors in Frankfurt am Main.

An important element of the trade fair for hobby, handicrafts and artists' requisites is the varied and interesting complementary programme, one of the highlights of which is the special exhibition and presentation of the Creative Impulse Award. On the one hand, the award is a trend barometer, on the other it is regarded as the 'Oscar' for the creative and handicrafts sector. The award was conferred in five categories by the 'bit-Verlag' publishing house and the trade magazine HobbyArt, in conjunction with Creativeworld.

"The Creative Impulse Award enriches Creativeworld greatly and we are delighted to have given it for the eighth time this year. With 75 entries, the list of companies taking part in the competition for the coveted innovation award was once again long", said Creativeworld Director Michael Reichhold.

The 'Creative Mind of the Year' was awarded posthumously to Ilse Erhardt. First place in the 'Creative Product of the Year' category went to Mark's Europe for 'mt CASA' masking tape. The winner of the 'Tool of the Year' was 'Candleboy' by Reddy Creative Cards while first place in the 'Compete Kit of the Year' category went to 'Anime Art Set' by Faber-Castell. 'Zakka' by Edition Michael Fischer was chosen as the 'Creative Book of the Year'.

"For me, it is particularly important that products leave room for the user's own creativity – in that case, it is also an innovation and for us on the jury a product deserving of a positive rating", said Martina Lammel, creative expert and member of the Creative Impulse jury.
