Market leaders talk about their expectations for Texprocess 2013

From 10 to 13 June 2013 the garment and textile technology market leaders will gather at Texprocess in Frankfurt am Main to present their innovations. Texprocess is the leading international trade fair for processing textile and other flexible materials. Held for the first time in 2011, when it was part of a double header with Techtextil, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and non-wovens, Texprocess was an industry winner from the word go.

So what do companies expect from this second instalment of this leading international trade fair? What does Texprocess mean for them? The following statements in reply to these questions come from Heiner Rupperath from Brother, Dietrich Eickhoff from Dürkopp Adler, Ivonne Heinen-Foudeh from Gerber Technology, Thorsten Hornung from Hornung, Dr. Andreas Seidl from Human Solutions, Alexander Neuss from Lectra, Cornelia Mast from Pfaff, Hideki Tajima from Tajima, Günter Veit from Veit and Michael Metzler from ZSK.

Heiner Rupperath, Product Manager IPM
(Industrial Printing Machines), Brother Internationale Industriemaschinen GmbH: "As was the case in 2011 Texprocess 2013 is very important for us. It is the leading trade fair for innovation in the field of jointing technology and an opportunity to address many important customers. Alongside the established fields of sewing and textile printing at Brother we will be showing a completely new innovation."

Dietrich Eickhoff, CEO, Dürkopp Adler AG: "The unexpected success of the 2011 premiere already gave 'wings' to the concept of combining Texprocess with Techtextil. Dürkopp Adler is a supplier both to the clothing industry and processors of technical textiles and so participation in this leading international trade fair is an absolute must. Nowhere else would you find this combination of expertise and innovation is unique and also for any customer it is an event not to be missed."

Yvonne Heinen-Foudeh, marketing director of Gerber Technology GmbH: "The classic structures in the textile and garment industry are becoming blurred. Product and procurement channels are in flux. Europe is still important – not just as a sales market. It is the creative centre – from where everything is managed and tracked. It follows that software and service solutions act as success factors driving market growth. The IT@Texprocess area is the platform at Texprocess this is also tailored to information technology and software. Exactly what international decision makers need – exactly what Gerber Technology needs."

Thorsten Hornung, managing director of Hornung GmbH:
"For us Texprocess is an important meeting place. It is the ideal platform not only to present new products and developments to our customers in the field of ironing and finishing technology but also to gain new customers for our company. On top of this it gives us the opportunity to meet our global partners and run through our latest solutions in detail. Technical dialogue with industry representatives can also give added impetus to ideas and so extend the scope of our proposed solutions."

Dr. Andreas Seidl, managing owner of Human Solutions, Assyst, AVM: "Texprocess is a must. It is the one place you find all technologies brought together under one roof. Texprocess more than lives up to its claim of being the leading international trade fair for the garment industry. It provides technology suppliers and clothing manufacturers with an ideal platform for a mutual exchange of ideas. Anyone visiting Texprocess will subsequently be in no doubt as to where the industry stands in technological terms and will know what is possible in the future from an IT perspective."

Alexander Neuss, managing director of Lectra Deutschland GmbH: "In 2013 Lectra has again taken the decision to take part in Texprocess. We continue to welcome the fact that Texprocess is being held in parallel to Techtextil, all the more so because consideration has been taken of the wish expressed by visitors and exhibitors for both trade fairs to end at the same time. We are sure that Texprocess 2013 can continue what the 2011 event started: high quality visitors on an international presentation platform. Indeed one of the things in which we are particularly interested is to see how many visitors are coming from the countries of Eastern Europe and the CIS region."

Cornelia Mast, executive board member of PFAFF Industriesysteme und Maschinen AG: "For PFAFF INDUSTRIAL Texprocess is the most important event in the first half of 2013. The concept of holding Texprocess and Techtextil at the same time was a success for the first fair in 2011 and in future will establish this trade fair as an important meeting important opportunity for the industry. For PFAFF distribution partners and dealers throughout the world the 2013 trade fair is an important platform to present our existing and new products to customers and anyone else interested."

Hideki Tajima, General Manager of Tajima Industries Ltd.:
"We consider Texprocess is one of the most important fairs not only for Europe but also International markets of Russia, CIS and African continent to showcase our latest technologies. Anybody who is in the fashion and/or textile processing industry should visit this exhibition where they can meet us and other leading processing equipment manufactures to feel, touch and learn about our up-to-date business solution."

Günter Veit, President of the Veit Group: "For the VEIT Group Texprocess is an essential platform. It is where on the one hand we meet the key players in our industry and where on the other hand we make many new contacts. Low wage countries are currently seeing rising wage levels. As a result these markets also increasingly require automation. In terms of technology, Texprocess is the leading trade fair and the most important event for the whole industry worldwide."

Michael Metzler, sales of technical embroidery systems,
ZSK Stickmaschinen GmbH: "Held parallel to Techtextil, Texprocess offers manufacturers of embroidery machines such as ourselves an ideal platform since we have a good deal to offer not only in the area of classic multi-head embroidery machines but also in the field of technical embroidery. For those involved in classic embroidery this trade fair gives them the opportunity not simply to see new developments, but also to expand their horizons in the direction of technical embroidery. It enables new customers to gain a perfect overview of the industry."

On the previous occasion Texprocess saw 326 exhibitors from 40 countries, while around 17, 000 professional visitors from 87 countries (including visitors to Techtextil) visited this leading international trade fair. Techtextil, the international trade fair for technical textiles and non-wovens will be held parallel to Texprocess from 11th to 13th June 2013.
