ShanghaiTex 2013

Serving China's textile industry for 30 years, The 16th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2013) will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center, Pudong, Shanghai, PR China on June 10-13, 2013. A new theme named "Digital Printing Machinery Zone" will be launched in response to the rising demand from industry.

In recent decade, digital technology has been applied widely in the printing textile industry and it grows at the quickest rate among other traditional printing methods. Digital textile printing technology supports versatility, quick delivery, short printing runs, cost effectiveness and especially the fast fashion market. More importantly, it promotes green manufacturing production with less pollution compared with conventional printing process. With new technology and productivity advancements, digital direct-to-fabric printing has become one of the most used manufacturing processes for imaging finished textiles. In 2010, GIA (Global Industry Analysts Inc.) released a report on world textile printing production. It forecasted that the global production of printed textiles would reach 32 billion square meters by the year 2015. Analysts in general also predicted that 15% of global market for fabric printing would be made digitally within the next 5 years.

To cater for this growing market trend, ShanghaiTex 2013 will bring leading enterprises of this kind to participate at the "Digital Printing Machinery Zone" for the display of the latest digital textile printing technology.

Since its inauguration in 1984, ShanghaiTex is held biennially and has become the most established textile exhibition with its unique national brand. Despite the global economic challenge, textile enterprises have confidence on the Chinese textile market and given tremendous support to ShanghaiTex 2013. It is reflected by the faster booth reservation rate compared with same period of last year. Renowned local and overseas enterprises that have reserved exhibition booths.
