Ambiente with a huge international spectrum of consumer goods in the Living segment

Be ambitious – Ambiente is the world's most important event for the consumer-goods sector and a driving force for the market. With 97 percent of exhibition space now sold, the leading international trade fair for products in the fields of tableware, kitchen accessories, housewares, gifts, decorative articles, home concepts and furnishing accessories is already almost fully booked up.

From 15 to 19 February 2013, the Living section of Ambiente will present a huge spectrum of products for the home, furnishing and decorating, distinguished by emotional, exclusive and stylish qualities. The Dining and Giving sections offer trade visitors not only an unrivalled range of products but also generate interdisciplinary impulses. Additionally, attractive special shows represent unequivocal added value. They include, for example, the 'Solutions' special exhibition that, as in 2012, is being curated by designer Sebastian Bergne.

Under the motto 'La France un art de vivre', France will be this year's Partner Country and make a presentation backed by an extensive programme of events. Olivia Putman, one of the leading personalities of the French design scene, has agreed to be ambassador of the 'Partner Country France' project and curator of the special Partner Country presentation at the fair.

Creativity and extraordinary design

The Living section presents furniture, furnishing, home accessories, home and household textiles and festive decorations. Companies and renowned manufacturers show their latest products for the Interiors & Decoration, Loft, Seasonal Decoration, Outdoor Living and Passage Home & Garden product segments.

The focus of consumer demand continues to be on exclusive and high-grade design, and trade visitors will find home accessories, small pieces of furniture, luminaires, textiles and designer products in the modern setting of Hall 11.0 where exhibitors such as Authentics, Henry Dean, Decor Walther, Fatboy, Normann Copenhagen, Raumgestalt, Reisenthel and Umbra present their products in original displays. New ideas and innovative creations revolving around the subject of furniture design will be shown by participants of the 'Talents' and 'Next' promotional programmes in the Loft area. Additionally, national pavilions from Japan, Lithuania, South Africa, Taiwan, The Netherlands and Finland will present the latest trends from their individual design scenes.

International and impressive

The Interiors & Decoration product segment in Halls 8.0 and 9.0 is characterised by a large selection of international furnishing ideas. With furniture, textiles, home accessories and luminaires, the exhibitors presenting the coming trends in Hall 9.0 include companies such as Eichholtz, Fink, Guaxs, Lambert, O Living, Scholtissek, Tom's Company, van Roon and Zoeppritz. Moreover, exhibitors such as Bull & Stein, DeKnudt and Spagl are returning to the international environment of Hall 9.0.

With decoration and furnishing trends for indoors and outdoors, companies such as Drescher, Exotica Cor Mulder, H. Andreas, Nic Duysens and Wohnmanufactur Grünberger will be showing the complete spectrum of home and decorative concepts, barbeques, artificial flowers, garden furniture and accessories and planters in Hall 8.0. For the first time, Art 28 will also present its artists and projects here at Ambiente.

Contract Business: products and solutions for holistic furnishing concepts for the contract business

Contract Business is the name given to the business of furnishing complete projects, such as hotels, cruise liners, congress centres and restaurants, with home accessories, furniture, seasonal decorations and tableware. At Ambiente 2013, more than 200 exhibitors will be showing products and solutions for furnishing and equipping commercial projects and premises. Following the success of the Contract Business programme launched at Ambiente 2012, these activities will be continued and expanded in 2013. "This market segment is of great importance, especially for manufacturers in the Living and Dining sections, and has a great potential with high rates of growth worldwide", says Living Director Sabine Scharrer.

With this thematic focal point, Ambiente offers a unique platform that, in conjunction with a special package of activities, will make it even more interesting for decision makers such as furnishing specialists, interior architects and representatives of restaurants and high-class hotels. Besides a digital match-making platform, tours of two hotels – the Frankfurter Hof and 25hours – will offer insights into their very different interior-design styles. In addition, there will be a programme of interesting lectures for buyers and decision makers in the special Contract Business Lounge.

International highlights for bulk buyers

At Passage Home in Halls 10.1 and 10.2, bulk buyers will find a broad spectrum of home accessories, small pieces of furniture, textiles, luminaires and outdoor / garden accessories. Hall 10.2 is also the location of suppliers of particularly high-quality products for bulk buyers.
