Russian wine festival came to the end in Abrau Dyurso

Russian wine festival, organized by the Union of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia and "Abrau Dyurso" with the support of the Krasnodar region, took part on October, 27 in the village of Abrau Dyurso near Novorossiysk, where the production of Russia's most famous sparkling wine of the same name is located. 25 top Russian wineries presented at the Festival their best wines, as well as the new wines of the harvest 2011. The exhibition was divided into specialized segments in accordance with the territorial location of the producers, helping professionals to get the most vivid picture of Russian winemaking of the 21st century.

For the first time among the visitors of the Festival were the leading producers of sparkling wine in Russia and Jean-Luc Barbier, the head of the Professional Committee of Champagne Wines (CIVC - Comite Interprofessionel du Vin de Champagne). The business program of the festival included a meeting of the Union of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia, where the participants discussed the results of the 2011-2012 year and the prospects of the industry in the 2013th year.

Great interest among the professional wine community aroused the presentation of Russian wine project "Russian winemaker", which was created to support the domestic wine production and to promote the quality Russian wines in the domestic and international markets.
