| Plastex Ukraine 2012 7th Plastex Ukraine 2012, the country's only exhibition dedicated to the plastic and rubber industry, will take place from 31 October to 2 November 2012 in Kyiv's International Exhibition Centre. The event is officially supported by the Ukrainian Chemists' Union and the Council of Representatives of the Polymer Industry of Ukraine. Plastex Ukraine brings together companies showcasing equipment for the production of polymer-based materials and objects and polymer raw materials, with polymer products also being displayed directly at the event. The polymer industry withstood the 2009-2010 crisis, and the results from Plastex Ukraine 2011 underline this - 40 companies exhibited at the show from Austria, Germany, India, Italy, China, Taiwan, Latvia, Russia, and Ukraine, showcasing their products and services to over 2,000 trade professionals visiting the event. 46% of these visitors represented polymer processing companies, 16% equipment producers, 15% suppliers and providers of packaging, and 9%, 8%, and 7% of visitors represented chemical, food, and construction companies respectively. Plastex Ukraine enjoys a reputation as an ideal platform for promoting new products and equipment in the polymer industry, with 40% of all visitors coming to the exhibition to see the latest machinery and equipment for plastics and rubber production. The exhibition is equally successful as a meeting place for doing business - 55% of exhibitors signed or agreed to sign contracts last year and 36% found new clients.
