Growers Fair to continue its explosive

Scheduled to take place from October 10th to 12th at Makuhari Messe Japan, the Growers Fair held inside International Flower Expo Tokyo (IFEX) is expected to double its number of exhibitors from 288 a year ago to 500. Considering that two years ago, the number was only 120, the fair has in fact grown by a staggering 400% in just two years. 500 growers from around Japan and the world will be exhibiting their various produce including fresh cut flowers, nursery and potted plants, gathering keen attention from throughout the industry.

Officially launched last year, the Growers Fair offers its exhibitors the options of a regular booth or just a display table. The participation fee for a display table is relatively low at 50,000 Yen or approximately US$600, making it very affordable for even small growers to take part. It is no wonder that the Fair has received explosive response.

Last year, buyers from flower auction markets, wholesalers, and floral shops, etc. were arriving at the fair enthusiastically in chartered buses. The feedbacks from these buyers were very positive, with many of them, especially retailers, applauded that they were very happy to be able to meet growers face to face and place orders.

Over 80% of the exhibitors last year are anticipated to return this year, being satisfied with the good results that they achieved during the fair.
