Prolight + Sound Shanghai, Asia's leading audio show taking place 11 – 14 October 2012 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre is attracting more than 400 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, including the return of the Taiwanese pavilion.

Now in its tenth edition, the show will feature a wide range of products for the pro-audio, lighting, entertainment and event technology industry.

Not only does Prolight + Sound Shanghai offer an ideal platform for business, but it also serves as a hub for the exchange of ideas and skills learning. This year there is a diverse range of events and fringe programmes which cover the full industry spectrum from manufacturer to end-user.

Concert Sound Arena, 11 – 14 October
Asia's pioneer live line array demonstration will feature the largest ever number of brands: : Audiocenter, Biema, Dus Audio, FS Audio, IBO, Turbosound, TW Audio, Lexon, VTC and ZSOUND.

Headphone Demonstration Corner, 11 – 14 October
An audio experience area tailored to the broadcasting and studio sound professionals will offer the latest headphones from AKG, beyerdynamic, InAndOn, Klipsch, Superlux and Takstar.

Product presentations, 11 – 12 October
A platform for visitors to view the latest products and technologies through eight participating brands that include Superlux, Sunrise, Turbosound, Xilica and Yes Tech.

Stage Art Design and Technology Forum, 11 October
Hosted by China Association of Stage Art, Shanghai Scenography Association and Shanghai Multimedia Industry Association, the forum will unveil the latest developments and insights relating to stage art and design. Speakers include China's top lighting designer Mr Miao Peiru, National Centre for the Performing Arts Stage Director Mr Gao Guangjian and Philips Global Product Manager Entertainment Mr Jerry Wang.

Lighting and Art Design in HD TV Production Seminar, 12 October
Lighting engineers and directors from various Chinese TV stations will share their expertise in lighting and stage art for TV shows.

Green Theatre Seminar, 12 October
Aligned with the global trend towards energy efficiency, this "green" seminar will cover sustainable topics relating to TV studios and stage and theatre events.

Other events at Prolight + Sound Shanghai include the Professional Audio Forum and seminars on AV applications for the hotel industry.

Show concept expands to Guangzhou in 2013
Acknowledging the dynamic market in China, Messe Frankfurt and Guangdong International Science and Technology Exhibition Company (STE) are pleased to announce their collaboration for a key industry event in Guangzhou, Sound Light Guangzhou, to be held on 9 to 12 March 2013 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex.

Prolight + Sound Shanghai runs concurrently with Music China, Asia's largest international exhibition for musical instruments and accessories.
