Paperworld China levels the record of participating country as last year

Paperworld China 2012, a must-attend international sourcing platform for the stationery and office supplies industry opens from 19 – 21 September at Shanghai New International Expo Centre with over 410 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions.

The eighth edition of the show is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, China Chamber of Commerce for I/E of Light Industrial Products & Arts-crafts and Guangzhou Foreign Trade South China Exhibition Corp Ltd and showcases a wide range of products from office supplies, office technology, paper and printing products to writing instruments, school supplies, artist supplies and gift articles.

Other than China, the exhibitors come from Austria, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, the UK and the US. Exhibitors from Korea and Taiwan have formed their own pavilions to display unique quality products. The show is expected to welcome over 19,000 professional visitors, include buying groups from Korea and Singapore, as well as representatives from local retail chains and wholesale markets.

Informative fringe programme highlights latest market trends Match-making service continues to serve buyers to select best match exhibitors in advance. This tailor-made service helps to improve sourcing efficiency as well as creating more business opportunities.

In addition, a display and interactive area called "Extraordinary Stationery" has been set up to reveal the new stationery industry trends for stationery, office products and artist supplies. VIVA DÉCOR, a German brand for colours, will arrange interactive activity at the display area to let the participants experience drawing with the colours. Also, Kidstoyo Origami Classroom will be set up to let visitors to enjoy the fun of origami.

Sustainable Sourcing Summit 2012 will take place at the show. The summit is co-organised by the Rainforest Alliance, the speakers from the alliance, FSC China, Staples and Mattel will share their views on "The changing landscape of responsible paper and packaging sourcing." In addition, a research report called "The demand structure and sourcing practice of corporate users in China" will be presented. The research was conducted by the school of Economics & Management, Tongji University with the support of Paperworld China. The report analyses the demand and supply balance of office supplies in China. The report will convey market information to industry people who target to tap into the booming Chinese market.
