International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing 2012: gets dressed up for tenth anniversary

For its tenth anniversary, China's largest trade show for powder and bulk solids technology can look forward to a very special birthday present: an amended name. Adding "Processing" to the name will even better reflect the unique proposition of the event in the future. China's No. 1 "one-stop-shop" for all industries focusing on mixing, conveying, milling, screening, andgranulating, the International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing Conference & Exhibition 2012 will take place at the INTEX exhibition center Shanghai from October 17–19, 2012. In 2012, the organizers – the Chinese Society of Particuology, NürnbergMesse China, and Worldwide Exhibitions Service – look back on a decade of a booming Powder & Bulk business. Many birthday guests are expected, among them international key players like Hosokawa, DMN Westinghouse, Kaeser, and Malvern. A highly informative supporting program will accompany the anniversary event.

The prospects for a successful International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing Conference & Exhibition (IPB) 2012 are good: Thriving sectors in China like construction, car manufacturing, and computers all rely on chemical inputs. At this rate, China could bypass the United States to become the world's largest chemicals market in the next two years, says the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. In their latest market report, they state that the demand for specialty chemicals is rising exponentially, and they recommend that multinational companies take advantage of this shifting chemicals focus to enter into profitable business ventures.

At the International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing Conference & Exhibition 2012, more than 160 exhibitors are expected to present the latest developments in:

basic processing technologies for powder and bulk materials
plant engineering and processing components
particle analysis and characterization
nano particle technologies
measurement and control
safety and environmental technologies

In 2011, more than 6,200 experts came to Shanghai from 23 different countries and regions all over the world. Visitors from industries like chemicals (30.9 percent), mechanical engineering (11.3 percent), pharmaceuticals (8.4 percent), food and feed (8.3 percent), and mining (5.1 percent) came to tap into new business opportunities and gain exclusive insights into the flourishing Asian powder and bulk market.

Key topics 2012: explosion-protection and particle analysis
Visitors can expect to find exclusive insights not only on the show floor but also in the informative supporting program: At the INDEX Safety Symposium, held by the International Association of Experts for Industrial Explosion Protection, visitors can learn more about state-of-the-art explosionprotectionsolutions and get updates on upcoming standards and legislation. The symposium will take place on the second day of the trade show. Participants can register online for free entry at:

Additionally, an Industrial Dust Explosion Risk Management Workshop will be presented by BS&B Safety Systems Asia Pacific. For the second time, the Particle Analysis and Characterization Seminar will take place, organized by the Chinese Society of Particuology. Key players like Malvern, Retsch, Micromeritics and Sympatec have confirmed to present their latest technologies in the seminar. Also, a premiere is held at the anniversary event: The JiangSu Society of Particuology invites for the Powder Technology and Equipment Symposium.

Another highlight comes from overseas: APPIE, the Association of Powder Process Industry and Technology, Japan, will host the "Japanese Pavilion", where Japanese companies exhibit posters and instruments.

Meet locally, network globally: Powder & Bulk Network
IPB is part of a worldwide alliance of International trade fairs and conferences for mechanical process and bulk solids handling technologies. The so called Powder & Bulk Network covers all the key world markets in this field: Europe, India and booming China. The Network creates a highly specific, high-quality and global platform for all industries focusing on mixing, conveying, milling, screening or granulating.
