‘High-Tex from Germany’ in Moscow

The German textile industry will present technical textiles at a special exhibition entitled 'High-Tex from Germany' to be held at Techtextil Russia at the Expocentre fair ground in Moscow from 12 to 14 March 2012. The initiative is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie – BMWi) in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (Messeausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V. – AUMA) and supported by the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry (Gesamtverband textil und mode). Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH has been commissioned with organising the exhibition.

The aim of the 'High-Tex from Germany' initiative, the concept of which was developed by the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry in 2000, is to make it easier for manufacturers of technical textiles and textile technologies to break into international markets and thus boost the marketing of innovative German products around the world. Dr Philipp Rösler, the German Minister of Economics and Technology, considers that small to medium sized companies can benefit greatly from presenting their products to the Russian market in this special exhibition because, "The demand for technical textiles in Russia is growing continuously and German manufacturers profit from the fact that Russian companies cannot meet this demand. Today, Germany is already Russia's most important supplier of technical textiles."

The exhibition will also be accompanied by a symposium spotlighting trends, innovations and developments in the technical-textile, nonwoven and innovative apparel fabric markets.

To date, 'High-Tex from Germany' has been held successfully parallel to Techtextil India (2007, Mumbai), Cinte Techtextil China (2002, Shanghai) and Techtextil North America (2000, Atlanta). In 2012, this special event at Techtextil Russia will give German manufacturers of technical textiles the chance to gain a foothold in the Russian market. The focus of their presentations will be on the automobile industry, infrastructure and nonwovens for use in the medical sector. Additionally, emphasis will be given to the fields of ecology and sustainability.
