| imagina 2011 overview In 2011, imagina once again reflected advances in 3D technologies and simulation while increasing its coverage of new applications, with healthcare and crisis management included for the first time this year, alongside those that have been represented in the past, such as architecture, urban planning, industry and CG Prospective. The event took on a new dimension with a 30% increase in exhibiting floor space and a 15% rise in delegate numbers. Over 70 organisations exhibited, presenting their solutions and latest innovations. The conference cycles enabled participants to better appreciate the issues surrounding, and prospects for, commercial applications in architecture, urban planning, healthcare and crisis management, as well as simulation technologies, virtual universes and augmented reality. Internationalism was also one of the watchwords of imagina this year, with exhibiting companies from Finland, Germany, England, Canada, Asia and the United States. More than ever, the 3D industry is developing fast. Every year, it is imagina's responsibility to track this development in order to meet the needs of its participants.
