Brau Beviale 2010 = extensive range of products from the approx. 1,400 exhibitors of beverage raw materials, technologies, logistics and marketing ideas + attractive supporting programme. This year's most important international exhibition for the beverage industry welcomes some 34,000 visitors from 10–12 November.

A visit to hall 7A at Brau Beviale 2010 is a must, as this is where the Exhibitors Forum and the two theme pavilions are located. The Exhibitors Forum with its short presentations at 20-minute intervals on all three days of the exhibition provides more details about the products seen on the stands. The forum at the heart of the exhibition gives crisp information on 39 practical topics from brewhouse efficiency and energy optimization to the purity regulations for compressed air. The "Energy & Water" theme pavilion, which is organized together with the Competence Pool Weihenstephan of Munich Technical University, focuses on renewable energy, rational energy conversion, cogeneration units, contracting, disinfection, and recovery, analysis and treatment of water. More than 20 suppliers and service providers supply information on efficient solutions. The "Future Beverage Industry 20XX" theme pavilion ventures a look into the future of the beverage industry. The beverage industry faces great challenges: How can costs be cut? What technologies help to increase production? How can quality management be improved? Around a dozen companies present visions and creative ideas for the future of the industry in cooperation with the Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei (Brewery Research and Training Institute) of Berlin. These range from new technology and software solutions and innovative sales aids to efficient logistics ideas.

For the first time, the Wirtschaftsvereinigung Alkoholfreie Getränke (wafg), the German employers association of non-alcoholic beverage manufacturers, offers a workshop for its members and exhibition visitors. The exchange of opinions on "Beverage packages – Challenges for beverage producers" starts at 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon (11.11) in the Neu-Delhi room of CCN Ost. This focuses on the legal and material requirements for food and beverage packaging. Experts give an introduction to the three blocks of "Packages in contact with food", "Conformity declarations" and "Crises, media and communication" in three short presentations of 20 minutes each. After each statement and vigorous discussion, the workshop tackles the preparation of joint solutions.

The PETnology Europe Conference in Tokio hall of CCN Ost will define what technology can do, what markets want and what fillers would like on the Monday and Tuesday before the exhibition even starts (8/9.11). Representatives from a good 30 companies have the answers ready. The "Packaging Wall of Excellence" in hall 4A during the actual exhibition provides some surprising innovations along the value creation chain for PET bottle production. Lovers of fine beer can look forward to the European Beer Star Award, whose Consumer's Favourites are determined by the visitors in blind tastings on the first day of the exhibition, and to the grand presentation of the awards on the second day.
