Viscom Visual Communication: the 21st International Exhibition and Convention for Visual Communication and Event Support services will be held between the 5th and 7th of November at the Milan Exhibition Centre at Rho; a show that promises to be rich in innovative technology directed at promoting business contacts between suppliers, customers and decision makers.
"600 suppliers – 21.000 visitors – 40.000 square metres of expo space…these are the figures that demonstrate that this is an event in constant evolution and by no means on the downgrade"– said Brigitte Hunt. "It is an event that even during an economic crisis is able to provide adequate solutions currently needed in business development.
Among marketing instruments, trade fairs are the tool that gives the best return on investment: only at a fair is it possible to present a product, "turn it inside out", and close a sale, all at the same time. These are figures that have been studied at international level to demonstrate the role of the trade fair in today's markets: more than 80% of visitors have an influence on purchasing power and 55% make a decision to buy during a fair. Although today it is possible to find all the information one needs on Internet, it is only at the Fair that it is possible to consolidate old relationships with customers and create new connections with others. This is the point we have focussed on for Viscom 2009: to make sure we use our fair to create business".
Faced with an excess of faceless information which is becoming increasingly more impersonal and lacking in detail, Viscom 2009 has come up with a solution called "MATCHING": the new "face to face" interaction model between market leaders in visual communication.
"MATCHING" focuses on targeted one-to-one contact meetings between suppliers, customers and decision makers. A direct comparison between offer and demand within the Fair itself, a factor that is absolutely essential for choosing the most suitable solution according to personal requirements and different market situations.
The Viscom 2009 strategy will be targeting visitors in a new way - focussing on new application possibilities for visual communication – and launching innovative package offers designed to attract new exhibitors… companies, which in an economical crisis like the present situation, will still be able to present their products at the largest fair in the sector at extremely competitive prices.
Among the large number of new events to be seen at Viscom 2009, is the new Area Digital Signage by Viscom, dedicated to new technologies that contribute towards visual communication, converting from static to increasingly more dynamic systems in order to have an impact on the consumer at the moment of making a purchase. Digital Signage by Viscom 2009 will be conceived to complete the offer made using traditional means in the visual communication industry which have always been part of the Viscom sector: Large format digital printing, - Sign making – Bill boards – Neon P.O.P. - Digital Signage - Communication – Screen printing for Point of purchase articles - Pad printing – embroidered advertising- Advertising clothing - Engraving – Sports trophies and event support services.
Together with the expo area, there will also be the Visual Communication Forum, where technicians, sales personnel, communication designers and marketing experts share their experience with visitors, as well as Viscomlab, the on-stage meeting with live demonstrations and dialogue between operators and the market.
The fair will conclude with the prestigious: "Telaio d'Argento" (Silver Frame award), the prize awarded to make the visual communication market aware of the potential of modern screen printing techniques. This competition – eagerly awaited by Italian screen printers – offers the 7, 000 companies which operate in this field a unique opportunity to show their talent and professional skills to best advantage by demonstrating the great potentials of screen printing. On the other hand, Display Superstar ITALIA is the coveted award that gives POP Producers the chance to show their creativity
before the vast and qualified trade fair public.
Viscom Visual Communication 2009 is proposing a new exhibition concept directed at enriching "personto-person" relationships, with demonstrations and parallel initiatives between exhibitors and visitors in order to work together to find a customised sales alternative able to offer concrete solutions to the economical crisis.
