Interlift Defies The Crisis

This is what proves the rank of the world's trade fair for the elevator industry: Whereas in the times of the global economic and financial crisis other trade fairs have shrunk or even had to be cancelled, interlift's project management is now expecting to once again reach the record figures of the last event. "Of course the crisis has had some influence on the interlift. A few companies have had to take a break this time, while some others have reduced the size of their stands, but on the other hand we already have over 50 companies at the interlift 09, which are either new or which had missed out in the past and are participating again. As it looks today the interlift 09 will more or less reach the record figures of the previous event, both with regard to the amount of companies participating and to the amount of space booked."

Companies coming from 32 countries

At 61 % (as of April 09) the proportion of foreign companies participating is similarly high to that in 2007. Exhibitors coming from 32 countries have already booked their stands, and there are new participants coming from Lithuania and from Malaysia. Large communal participations are expected from China and also for the first time from India. As in the past, Italy will probably be the strongest country represented, followed by China and Spain.

New exhibition hall optimises the infrastructure of Augsburg trade fair centre

For the 9th interlift in Augsburg the new exhibition hall 5 is available for the first time. The new hall has no columns at all and measures 8,000 m². With its usable height of 10 m and the most modern equipment, the new and biggest exhibition in Augsburg offers exhibitors excellent opportunities for their presentations. It has replaced the old halls 5 and 6 (6,400 m² total), and is at the same time the perfect connection between halls 3 and 7, which offers an added benefit to the circuit of the trade fair. The addition of this new exhibition hall has also meant a considerable improvement of the total infrastructure of the exhibition centre. However, although there is more space, there are only very few particularly attractive spaces remaining available, and any interested companies should contact the project management as soona s possible, as there last top positions will no doubt be swept up before long.

It is now the third time that the VFA-Akademie of the German elevator association VFA INTERLIFT is undertaking the responsibility for the organisation and realisation of the interlift Forum. Under the direction of the new General Manager Ms Undine Stricker-Berghoff a comprehensive and highly competent programme of lectures has been developed, which covers all the different aspects of today's and tomorrow's elevator world. The main topics this year are:

"New products and services"
"Sustainable construction and refurbishment of elevators"
"International markets: Potential and experience in Europe, Middle East with emphasis on Turkey, as well as USA /Canada /Mexico and China"
"National, European and international technical directives and laws"
"Architecture and planning"
