Innovative New Features Added To 10th Anniversary Edition

With a track record of success, the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair marks a significant milestone in its 10th year. The 2010 fair to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 11 - 14 January, returns with a new product zone and is to be featured with two new exciting exhibitions. To provide visitors with an even broader selection of quality items, a new Gift Stationery Zone will be launched at the 2010 fair. This will be displayed together with the popular Children's Stationery & School Supplies Zone, the Paper & Printing Products Zone and the Office Supplies Zone. An extensive range of traditional and modern school and office supply goods for children and office workers will be showcased in these areas.

The Hong Kong International Stationery Fair has been held successfully with Asia's largest toy fair, the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair for many years. Building on this success, the 2010 fair will run in conjunction with the inaugural HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair and the 8th HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show. Cumulatively, these four fairs will provide multiple sourcing opportunities under one roof.

The growing popularity of cartoon and graphic novel characters has created many licensing opportunities. Consequently, the decision to run concurrently with the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show has been greeted positively by all. Exhibitors participating in both fairs will be able to explore joint co-operation opportunities to launch new collections, while visitors attending the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair will now have the chance to identify licensing prospects at the HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show.

Ms. Yvette Wu, Export Manger for Jean Dah Enterprises Co at the 2009 fair, praised this move. "We have brought many licensed items from Disney, which seems to be part of a global trend in the stationery industry. Holding the licensing fair concurrently with the stationery and toy and games fair in 2010 will help us attract more business partners."

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair has developed over the years into an ideal launching pad for exhibitors, as well as a prime-sourcing platform for international buyers. Last year, the fair attracted over 220 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions and received 14, 600 visitors from 108 countries and regions.
