The 32nd World Energy Engineering Congress

Set against the political backdrop of a changing U.S. energy efficiency & alternative energy policy, as well as the future of energy initiatives, energy security, cap and trade, and climate change strategies, the 32nd World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC) is poised to be the largest gathering of energy efficiency and sustainable decision‐makers in the region. Starting on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 the opening ceremonies will include keynote presenters featuring the Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Environmental Activist and Attorney who will present A Vision for Energy Independence, Jobs, and National Wealth. Mr. Kennedy, Jr., will be joined by C. Kyle Simpson, Policy Director of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP who will present the latest findings on New Administration, New Congress – New Directions in Energy Policy. Joseph W. Craver III, Group President, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) will give welcoming and event overview remarks.

The event is presented by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), hosted by Science Applications International Corporation ‐ SAIC (NYSE: SAI) and has support from the U.S. EPA Energy Star program, Platinum sponsor Autodesk (NASDAQ: ADSK), as well as energy leaders General Accounting Office (GAO), U.S. Department of Defense, Raytheon, U.S. DOE, National Technical Information Service (NTIS), Florida Power & Light (NYSE: FPL), and many more supporters. Held November 4‐6, 2009 at the Walter. E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, the WEEC event is the nation's largest annual forum on energy efficiency, renewable energy, power and green facility trends.

On Friday, November 4th, Ira C. Magaziner, Chairman, Clinton Climate Initiative will give a keynote closing address on the Combating Climate Change.

The U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is sponsoring a special section of the exposition entitled GreenStreet. Here, corporate and government energy leaders can find solutions for making their organization more energy efficient, implement sustainable technologies & strategies, and be a green leader for economic growth. In addition, the conference sessions contain a powerhouse line‐up of industry speakers ready to share their knowledge base, success stories and strategies for the future with fellow industry professionals. The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is organizing an innovative pavilion featuring technologies and solutions for energy efficiency, green building and alternative energy marketplace.
