Powtech 2010: Preparations In Progress

Once again the stage is set for a powerful performance in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 27–29 April 2010, when the next POWTECH, the world's leading exhibition for mechanical processing technologies and instrumentation, takes place. TechnoPharm, the international trade fair for pharmaceuticals, food and cosmetics, is traditionally presented parallel to POWTECH, but this is the first time that WCPT6, the World Congress on Particle Technology that starts a day earlier on 26 April, runs concurrently. The hectic phase of preparations has already begun.

POWTECH has been the leading exhibition for mechanical processing technologies for almost two decades. Right from the start, exhibitors and visitors have appreciated the highly concentrated exchange of information on the latest developments in the efficient plants and processes necessary for industries like chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, paint and coatings, quarrying and earthworks, and ceramics. The preparations have now begun for the next edition of POWTECH. Many companies made sure of their place at the exhibition immediately after the last event. The interest in exhibiting at POWTECH 2010 is uninterrupted, despite the current strained economic situation. The exhibition team therefore recommends interested exhibitors to contact NürnbergMesse now and secure the best stand places for next year.

Particularly in the course of the generally difficult economic situation, exhibitions in a wide range of industries have shown that the direct meeting of supply and demand offers the best prospects of defying the crisis. With a comprehensive spectrum of products and services in the exhibition halls and many special shows and presentations as training platforms, exhibitions provide the necessary information lead and the inspiration to create major competitive advantages.

Products on display at POWTECH include: Basic processing technologies for powder and bulk material, Plant engineering and processing components, Particle analysis and characterization, Nanoparticle technology, Measurement and control, Safety and environmental technology, Services (e.g. plant construction/planning, analysis).

With this range of products, POWTECH offers three days of concentrated information for visitors from industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, machinery and plant engineering, packaging, food, nanotechnology, explosion protection and industrial safety, quarrying and earthworks, and ceramics.

WCPT6: News from particle technology
Next year's World Congress on Particle Technology (WCPT), supported by the PARTEC Congress, takes place for the first time parallel to the POWTECH/TechnoPharm duo. This world congress will concentrate and discuss the latest findings and experiences from all segments of particle technology, when over 1,000 scientists from all over the world compare their research findings on the four days of the event.

"Together with POWTECH, the world's largest exhibition for powder and bulk solids technology, WCPT6 is next year's outstanding scientific forum for sourcing information on particle technology, " says Claus Rättich, Member of the Management Board of NürnbergMesse. The aim of WCPT is not only to present scientific findings, but also to promote the exchange of views and meetings between the various disciplines and between universities and industry.

Delft University of Technology and the company DSM, both from the Netherlands, are responsible for the technical organization of the congress.
