Inter-tabac Underlines Its Position As The Trade Fair In The Branch

The Inter-tabac (18.-20.09.2009), specialist trade fair for tobacco goods and smoking accessories is becoming ever more international. At this point in time, i.e. two and a half months before the start of the trade fair, already approx. 230 exhibitors from altogether 28 countries have booked to take part. This means the setting of a new country record. The share of foreign exhibitors presently amounts to around 38 percent. Thanks to this result the Inter-tabac can once again underline its position as the leading trade fair in the branch.

Established 30 years ago, the Inter-tabac has developed consistently to become today's largest tobacco trade fair across the globe. Last year saw the 6,000 mark hit for the first time, achieving with altogether 6,251 visitors from the trade a new all-time high. And on top of that, 252 exhibitors from 25 countries – of those 38 percent from abroad - meant the additional setting of a new exhibitor record.

As the key communications and order platform for the trade the Inter-tabac has a unique range on offer. In three exhibition halls companies from all over the world demonstrate their products and services, including many brand new products, covering all sorts of tobacco goods, smokers' supplies, shop fittings, spirits and wines, organisation aids, specialist literature, stationery goods and magazines.

This Number One international meeting point offers the opportunity to exchange ideas and information, find out about trends and innovations, observe the market and order goods. The Inter-tabac is gaining more and more significance as a forum linking the suppliers, the manufacturing industry and the trade retailers. This is substantiated not only by increasing exhibitor and visitor numbers but also the growing international interest from foreign visitors. In 2008 a total of 26 percent of the visitors came from abroad, including even visitors from Australia, North, South and Central America as well as from Asia.
