Emo Milano 2009

Just a few months from the opening date, 1,250 companies have already formalised their attendance at EMO MILAN 2009, the world exhibition dedicated to the world of metalworking scheduled 5-10 October at fieramilano. Promoted by CECIMO and organised by EFIM, a company belonging to the UCIMU Group, EMO MILANO 2009 will provide a net area of about 100,000 square metres fully summarising the international production system offering. In any case, the internationality of the event - held in Milan every six years - is witnessed by impressive attendance of international exhibitors: 70% of total representing 34 countries.

Thousands and thousands of visitors will travel to the capital of Lombardy next October to verify the offering covering all segments of the sector: from metalforming to metalcutting, from components to tools, from robotics to automation.

"Despite the complex world market situation, " said Alfredo Mariotti, director of the event, "EMO MILANO 2009 is a not to be missed appointment for trade operators. In short, the main protagonists of the world scene will be present at the event, even with impressively large exhibition spaces".

"In any case, " added Alfredo Mariotti, "if the third quarter of the year coincides with an inversion of trends, as several international economic analysis institutes suggest, "EMO MILANO 2009 will be the right moment to plan investments in instrumental goods and whoever attends the show will certainly benefit".

Companies already registered include: Agie Charmilles, Biglia, Comau, Correaanayak, DMG, DMTG, Doosan, Gruppo Riello Sistemi, Haas, Hermle, Yamazaki Mazak, Mori Seiki, Okuma, Pama, Samco, Schutte and Soraluce in the metalcutting sector; Amada, BLM Group, Ficep, Finnpower, Prima Industrie and Schuler for metalforming; Bosch Rexroth, Fanuc GE, Heidenhain, Siemens and THK for components and accessories, as well as more than 200 companies in the tool sector.

The key role of EMO MILANO 2009, moreover, is confirmed by interviews with numerous trade operators. "EMO MILANO, " said Silvio Smiderle, Pama (Rovereto TN), "is the showcase for sector machine tools all over the world, an absolutely strategic and fundamental appointment for constructors like us".

"EMO, " commented Davide Gaggino, Ubiemme Gűhring (Cornaredo MI), "is without doubt the single most important exhibition appointment, so a desire to be there as a rotagonist is the main motivation that encouraged us to plan our attendance".

The distinctive characteristic of the Italian edition of EMO is internationality, as confirmed by Mario Stroppa, Managing Director of Gildemeister Italiana (Brembate BG). "EMO MILANO 2009 is an appointment we absolutely cannot miss. For us, the Italian edition of EMO is more important than the German event. At the edition held in Hanover, 60% of visitors are German; on the contrary, half the number of visitors at EMO MILANO are international. This is the reason why we have decided once again to invest in our presence at the event: our exhibition area [one of the largest booked] will be set up with 50 machines including 15 innovations […]."

hosted in Italy every six years, means that EMO is a not to be missed occasion for Italian constructors to present their offerings to a truly international audience. And precisely to help the highest possible number of companies grasp the advantages arising from attendance at the exhibition, special finance tools - some now ready and others being defined - included a package named EMO ALL INCLUSIVE which will provide companies with a setup stand, handling, services and numerous other benefits at a particularly advantageous price".

"EMO, " according to Giancarlo Losma, President of Losma (Curno BG), "is the most important machine tool exhibition in the world so it is vital to take part. This is all the more true for Italian constructors when, as this year, the event is held in Milan".

According to Paolo Egalini, Managing Director of Mandelli Systems, GRUPPO RIELLO SISTEMI (Minerbe VR), "EMO MILANO is an essential appointment on a par with the German edition. In short, I feel that the Italian edition of EMO is the best approach to markets in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean. The growing relevance of the Milan edition is confirmed, in any case, by the fact that Italian constructors are continually closing the gap in market share compared to German competitors".

"EMO, " said Antonio Faccio, Director General of Fanuc GE Italia (Buccinasco MI), "is the most important exhibition dedicated to machine tools all over the world. Milan next October will welcome many visitors from every corner of the globe seeking information about new machines, state of the art products and innovative technologies. This is also a sign of the importance of EMO and the Italian market at the same time".

"The GF AgieCharmilles Group, " said Giuseppe Bottazzi, "continues to view EMO as the privileged platform for market presentation of our most significant innovations […]. This year, we will present in Milan - the heart of Italian industry - a number of technological innovations that will certainly inspire the creativity of entrepreneurs present".

In any case, EMO MILANO 2009 - that many economists suggest will be held at a time of economic recovery - stands as a vital opportunity for everyone seeking to be ready when investments resume.
